Hedge Fund is seeking talented and self-motivated investor documentation professional and/or paralegal to join the Legal and Compliance Department. Responsibilities: Providing assistance in the investor documentation process, including reviewing subscription agreements, redemption requests and transfer documentation for compliance with relevant requirements. Working with Investor Relations staff to follow up and address any deficiencies in investor documentation. Working with Legal and Compliance staff to address any relevant legal or regulatory issues arising in relation to investor documentation. General paralegal responsibilities, such as corporate recordkeeping, maintenance of legal files (physical and electronic), review of certain agreements and trading documents, and generally assisting attorneys in the Legal and Compliance Department. Qualifications/Requirements Minimum of three or four years of experience in working with legal documentation, preferably investor documentation for a private investment fund, including subscription agreements, redemption requests and transfer documentation. Experience at an SEC-registered investment adviser a plus. Familiarity with the law and regulations applicable to private investment funds, including the Investment Advisers Act and Investment Company Acts, the '33 and '34 Acts, Anti-Money Laundering rules and "know-your-customer" requirements. Ability to work independently, but also to recognize when to seek assistance from attorneys in the Legal and Compliance Department. Strong interpersonal skills with a client-service orientation; ability to work well with people at all levels of the firm. Excellent attention to detail.
